The 7th Annual Blanquerna-Emerson Global Summit, “Responding to a Disrupted World: New Narratives and Mediated Realities”, took place October 7-9th in Barcelona at Blanquerna-Ramon Llull University School of Communication and International Relations – once again, directed by Blanquerna’s Enric Ordeix and Emerson’s Gregory Payne.
The three-day event followed a hybrid system that brought together scholars, students, independent researchers, governmental officials, communication practitioners and business leaders from 13 different countries and 14 universities. Resulting in a total of 98 speakers and hundreds of attendees from around the globe, both in-person and online.
The conference aimed to create a global academic, professional and students’ community of disrupting agents in Global Communication. Together, they explored new narratives and mediated realities that have emerged as a response to today’s disrupted world and that break the social, political and economic Status Quo.
